| [Phish Tracker] Phishing vs ...not phishing
There seems to be come confusion about what is and is not phishing. Over the last few days I've seen a few 419 emails that were reported as phishing emails.
I am offering this guide in an effort to cut down on unnecessary submissions. Hopefully this thread will clear things up.
Phishing: • Account about to expire • Lost personal information • Update your financial information • Update an account with a site you've never heard of Examples:

Not phishing: • Won a lottery you never entered • Enlarge your penis, tighten your vagina, cheap meds, cure cancer using a wonderpill • Dead relatives in foreign countries • Dying widows with millions • Dying widowers with millions • "Work for us by cashing checks" Examples:

Please submit as many phishing emails as you can. Please do not submit any non-phishing emails.

| Here are two true phishing emails. One is particularly clever with the brute force attack note at the top. Both have the actual email addy shown using Eudora's built-in anti-phishing tool. The actual email addy is clearly not ebay or paypal.
keep em coming.
