| reply to removed Here are two true phishing emails. One is particularly clever with the brute force attack note at the top. Both have the actual email addy shown using Eudora's built-in anti-phishing tool. The actual email addy is clearly not ebay or paypal.

| There seems to be come confusion about what is and is not phishing. Over the last few days I've seen a few 419 emails that were reported as phishing emails.
I am offering this guide in an effort to cut down on unnecessary submissions. Hopefully this thread will clear things up.
Phishing: • Account about to expire • Lost personal information • Update your financial information • Update an account with a site you've never heard of Examples:


Not phishing: • Won a lottery you never entered • Enlarge your penis, tighten your vagina, cheap meds, cure cancer using a wonderpill • Dead relatives in foreign countries • Dying widows with millions • Dying widowers with millions • "Work for us by cashing checks" Examples:


Please submit as many phishing emails as you can. Please do not submit any non-phishing emails.
