Since this morning (December 24th) I have no service at all and the status LED on the Dlink TalkBroadband Gateway is red. I noticed it when I checked my e-mail: there was a voice-mail message, but not blinking light on my phone. Then I noticed that the line was down. No tone at all.

My internet service is working perfectly. I've resetted both the cable modem and the Gatway. No change.

I contacted the technical service and it seems that many customers who use Videotron as internet provider have the same problem. It is possibly a connection problem between Videotron and Primus (althought I suspect that Videotron could do that purposedly to get Primus customer to move to their Videotron Voip service -- from previous experiences I know that Videotron is not above such tactics).

I also contacted Videotron to notify them of the problem.

Anybody has a similar problem or an update on that situation?

It's quite inconvenient to be deprived of phone service for Christmas...

I have the same problem - line is out of service - and my Videotron IP address is a 69.x.x.x so I guess it's a "larger" problem that assumed here...

I hope this will get fixed and that Videotron will cease any tactics to drag Primus customers to their own service, if they ever did intent such tactics.

Well im sorry to hear that Videotron users are having problems...im a videotron user myself...actually i have a 69. ip also and seriously i have had no problems yet..ive been with primus since the begining of this year..and videotron before and since the new setup with voip i havent had any problems..i hear also alot of you are having them now around the x-mas holidays..but on my side of things in montreal..im still fine and my voip service works fine..

Guys if you dont mind the ones with Videotron and ur having problems..want to just tell us what city ur curently in !!
For example..montreal(island)

I'm sure we are at least 1000 out of service....

Talk with videotron.... Let's go !!!!! Rush !!!

Has anyone tlaked with primus support ? Please let us know what they are saying...
