| I get 20 to 30 a day of these stupid e-mails. Comcast does not seem to filter anything. I use Thunderbird as my mail client and it was getting rid of almost all this junk by sending them to a Junk folder. Then I made the mistake of installing Norton Internet Security with Spam Blocking. Norton started marking almost every e-mail as [Norton AntiSpam] but allowing all the messages to go into my inbox. It even marked messages that I sent to myself. Norton also interfered with the spam blocking in Thunderbird and now I am being inundated with Spam even after uninstalling Norton Internet Security. The only thing I can think of trying is to uninstall Thunderbird, clean the registry and reinstall Thunderbird. |

 | reply to uiopuiop Amen. Comcast spam blocker is the worst. I've reported hundreds of spams with no change or effect. Ten times more spam gets into my in box than is screened. There is no way to create a black list. You can only create a white list which is exceedingly limited for me. And that business of having to report spam and then delete it again would be a joke if it were not such a pain. |

 | I've concluded that the "report as spam" feature on Comcraps web-based email reader is just a placebo. It allows Comcast to claim they are treating the issue, costs next to nothing (it's just an alias for "delete message"), and may make the user feel better by providing the illusion that something is being done. Maybe they'll tell us just how much they spend on spam filtering to justify their next rate increase! |

MortyPremium join:2004-09-18 | Comcast hasn't raised HSI prices in some time, only markets that have had rate increases are those that were purchased by Comcast who previously had cheaper HSI. As for video that is another matter. |
