AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet - A New Name for the Same Great Product!
Q: What is the difference between SBC Yahoo! DSL and AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet?
A: Only the name. SBC Communications Inc. is now joined with AT&T and we are in the midst of bringing all of our communication and entertainment services under the AT&T name. With that, we are pleased to let you know that as of January 1, 2006, the name SBC Yahoo! DSL has changed to AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet. Current SBC Yahoo! customers do not need to take any action at this time to continue to receive the same super fast Internet connection and powerful online protection. Only the name of your Internet service has changed, but the same great service you know and expect from the combined resources of SBC and AT&T will continue. During a transitional period you may see both SBC Yahoo! DSL and AT&T Yahoo! High-Speed Internet as you browse online. Also, both current and new High Speed Internet customers will notice changes to the look of the bills and correspondence you receive from AT&T over the next few months. We thank-you for your patience during this transitional period.

So it's called AT&T Yahoo! HSI not DSL anymore? I guess that is because they are doing FTTH/P in some areas now so it's not just DSL anymore?

I guess that is because they are doing FTTH/P in some areas now so it's not just DSL anymore? you are correct. the new Fiber services like IPTV, etc are using High Speed Internet as the name, and instead of marketing both DSL and HSIA (which you might here as well High Speed Internet Access), they just renamed them all to High Speed Internet to make it easier. |
