I tried D-Link and Linksys and they suck!
I wanted to get the Netgear Wireless Ethernet Bridge model WGE101 but no one has them!
All I want is a stinkin' bridge.
Any help would be useful
Thanks -- They're not bugs in the program, they're just undocumented features... |

Any help would be useful Thanks 1) if you tried a Linksys WET and a D-Link - what makes you think the Netgear will work any better - maybe there are other issues...
2) Look into the Linksys WRT54G router (not V5) and put a free firmware upgrade like DD-WRT on it. Click the Client Bridge mode and you will have an adustable power Wireless ethernet bridge with 5 LAN ports, WPA, etc and most likely save alot of Money. |

I recommend this as a bridge: ZyXEL P-330W ( » www.compusa.com/products/product···e=329138 ) I use 3 systems behind it -- AND -- it works in WPA mode as a bridge while supporting multiple devices (something that most mfrs claim won't work). -- Robb Topolski -= funchords.com =- Hillsboro, Oregon USA ~ Keeper of the D-Link FAQ ~ Did you Search? ~ More features, Free! I was just in Best Buy - they had both WRT54G V4's and GL's. With DD-WRT firmware in Client Bridge (WET) mode, I have 3 PC's and an 8 port switch connected to one of my WRT54G bridges. Works great - also has a checkbox option to add the WAN port to the bridge for a 5th port. The WRT54G V4's were $39 after rebate |

funchords Hello Premium,MVM join:2001-03-11 Washington, DC | They only have v5 at my local Best Buy. I was just there Friday night. Same with Office Depot about a half-mile from there.
This is a high-tech area, so both businesses probably have pretty good throughput on this stuff. |
