| Making a Router WIFI
I don't know if this is the right place for this question because I am in Europe, specifically Alicante Spain.
My ISP here is Tele2 and they gave me a Telsey CPVA500 router good for ADSL and VOIP. My question is can I make it WIFI compatable ??? Please advise, Thanks |

Then you'll connect via wifi to the WAP |

| reply to enigma1944 The Telsey CPVA500 manual is not available online without registration -- forget that. But it looks like it has both a USB and an Ethernet connection for a PC. You are probably connected to it with a USB cable. The following should work, unless some weird configuration is required on the PC by your ISP: Get a wireless router and two short ethernet cables. Find out whether your computer needs to run special software to connect. It probably doesn't. If it does, write it all down before you make any change. Disconnect the computer from the Telsey box. Connect the WAN side of the router to the PC ethernet connector on the Telsey box. Connect your computer to an ethernet jack on the LAN side of the wireless router, and do the router setup that way. It is usually not a good idea to try to configure a wireless router through a wireless connection. Once wireless is set up, you can disconnect that cable and connect to the router wirelessly. |

N1zuK, what antenna do you recommend for the link??
Enigma I recommend you switch to cable in Spain, I Hear ONO or ONYO is spreading fast with 4Mgs service and it could go higher except the telcos run damn monopolies on what services all providers can give :-(
Might be of some help...? »Re: ADSL in Spain
