You can indeed use the WGR614 as a AP, as per the Netgear link your provided: but ONLY via a wired link between wireless router #1 and the WGR614 (wireless router #2) you are going to use as an AP. (You plug from a LAN port on wireless router #1 to a LAN port on the WGR614 (wireless router #2) AP, leaving the WAN port on the WGR614 vacant.) Your wireless devices will connect to either wireless router/AP, but the wireless router #1 would be the DHCP server for your LAN.
If you want to have a wireless connection from wireless router #1 to another device that second device will have to be something like a wireless Ethernet bridge (e.g. Nethear WGE101) - and that of course only offers up a wired connection to other devices. In short, you cannot connect wireless router #1 and wireless router #2 wirelessly. |
