1 edit | [Connectivity] Colorado random disconnects
Hey all
Here in Thornton, CO
It started about 2 weeks ago. I will be on the internet, everything will be fine. modem signals will look good:
Name WebSTAR DPC2100 Hardware Version 2.0 Software Version v2.0.2r1242-040825 Receive Power Level 1.0 dBmV Transmit Power Level 44.5 dBmV Cable Modem Status Operational
and after about 1-2 hours, my modem will stop sending/recieving. It wont let me access any wepages or let me ping anything.
I am going through a linksys router, BEFW11S4 ver 2.
When the connection drops, I can ping the router, but nothing else (I haven't tried the modem yet, I will do that the next time it drops)
Comcast says it's the modem, so I am going to try an exchange tomorrow, but could it be the line or their side? They won't send a tech out because my signals look good, but the signal is always fine, just the connection will drop every 1-2 hours.
Thanks!

| I've been noticing some slowdowns here if it makes you feel any better (I have the same modem BTW)
My speed tests garner me about 3.2-3.5 mb/s

| reply to kalphearion My speed tests are showing really good, usually 8700/716, sometimes 9100 down.
I will report back after I test the new modem I am getting today.
Here is the latest line test I did: »/quality/nil/1949991 |
