Max, I hear bbarrera has an extra room in a loft for rent. He needs a chauffer as well!! The only caveat is that MS is not allowed in the door, so you will have to go out and buy a MAC. |

| reply to maxusa $50/month for 20M/20M Internet when bundled with $40/month phone including unlimited national calls.
This is about $5 cheaper than current phoneline + ADSL @ 2000/256kbps (Frontier Communications), and current phone has pay-per-call long distance charges (I'm using 2.9 cent/minute calling card from MCI or Sprint). Bottom line is monthly rate is less plus I'll save money on business calls and I make a lot of long distance calls for business. Frontier is slowly rolling out ADSL2 or something, but that will be 12Mbps download (max) and slow uploads. -- 14 Days Until 20M/20Mbps Internet Service |

thx for the info. I was wondering about this third command... |

bbarrera Premium,MVM join:2000-10-23 Sacramento, CA clubs: | reply to ant3 Thats a bug, the CLI 'ipsec config netbios active on' is the same as enabling Netbios on VPN from web interface. -- 14 Days Until 20M/20Mbps Internet Service |

On a P653 the Broadcast Pass Through status stays "inactive" even changing by WEB GUI.
You need really to load and save the configuration from CLI.
Perhaps is a (new) bug of this model... |

| reply to ant3 said by ant3 :WEB INTERFACE: 'allow NetBIOS traffic through all IPSec tunnels' (this should be for broadcast) Yes, and it corresponds to 'ipsec config netbios active on' in the CLI.
This option enables the Zywall's Netbios proxy, whereby subnet broadcasts are translated/forwarded to another subnet.
said by ant3 :CLI: 'sys filter netbios config 3 off' (this should be for unicast) Yes, this is a packet filter to block/allow Unicast Netbios traffic and should be off by default. -- 14 Days Until 20M/20Mbps Internet Service |

| Hi guys,
I'm referring to an old topic: netbios over VPN I was thinking one would allow/filter netbios from:
WEB INTERFACE: 'allow NetBIOS traffic through all IPSec tunnels' (this should be for broadcast)
CLI: 'sys filter netbios config 3 off' (this should be for unicast)
Suddendly found a new command on this page:
'ipsec config netbios active on'
"...By NetBIOS broadcast supported in VPN tunnel, users of Microsoft Windows can search computers in remote VPN network by "Computer Name". Users don't need to pre-edit lmhosts in his/her local computer nor setup WINS server in between."
I can'test it right now, so please let me know if it works for you.
TIA
