I had a very similar problem one time in another MMORPG, turned out the onboard nic on my pc was bad. When I checked the event log on the pc, you could see dozens of events in which the NIC disconnected, then reconnected, over and over.
In my case, installing fresh drivers didn't work, I had to put a pci nic card in the box. At first I thought it was just the game b/c I didn't notice the problem while surfing, but the game must have been more sensitive to the frequent reconnects.
Check the event log, see if anything looks out of place. |

| Hi all -
I had the same problem, this is worth a try as it worked great for me.
I am using a WMP54G wireless card on a WRT54G router.
Begin with START > RUN and type services.msc Scroll all the way down double-click Wireless Zero Config and disable it.
Download and install the Linksys drivers from this page at Linksys. »www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellit···rWrapper
The setup.exe will install some files then ask you to restart. After restarting, Windows will detect new hardware. In that found new hardware dialog box, navigate to the Linksys Driver/Drivers folder and install the driver.
Hope this helps |

| I have the exact same problem. As of today I'm unable to connect to the game. Even if I pass the whole login/successful/enter the game stuff, when I hit enter the game, it doesn't load the game up and in 2 minutes it says disconnected from the server. There is no new firmware for my router, I have all the ports open and the same settings which were working fine 3 days ago no longer work so it must be something about Blizzard. I emailed them but didn't get a reply back. And my character is not in a city. I'm thinking to post my login information in blizzard forums to say if anyone can access my character can they please take it to an inn so at least I can get rested xp for the days I can't play. Maybe it'll fire a shot to the blizzard to do something about it. |
