| reply to weakie Re: Verizon DRY LOOP
i spoke to a frame tech in the brooklyn co (71st street) yesterday and was told that she had 300 new circuits to wire and they are backlogged but at least things are moving. maybe a new asam is in? might be worth putting your order in.
That's good news. Thanks for the update. I cancelled my DSL order this morning and reordered it. I was told my DSL modem and installation would arrive some time next week and my service will be up as well.
Possibly two lies, but who knows... |

| I finally got to a tech at Verizon for my dry loop order, and basically for the DC area (2008 ZIP) they had a meeting on Friday (I guess to discuss many other areas as well) and were instructed to start pushing orders through, even if the switch isn't ready for them.
In my case this means that I have date of March 1st for service to go on (it's supposed to be 8 business days from the order, but they're too backed up).
So that's the current status for that area. |

I just signed up for Earthlink DSL 1.5/128 for $9.95/month for the first 6 months and $39.95/month thereafter yesterday afternoon. My expected scheduled ready date is 02/08/06. GL all. |
