it looks like it finally took. The reason i am doing this is so i can allow non administrators to change the battery power settings on Ibm thinkpads. the test machine is my t41. i have set the folder C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\Utilities to have the main users have admin privledges for that folder. i thought this would allow them to change what the speed of the pc is running at. i need to either find another program that allows the user to change the power settings as a limited user. I also am looking for a program that would allow me to manually set the speed of the processor. i have tried to run my pc at full 1600 mhz but on battery it is only 800 when i set the power program to full system performance. i can disable all power settings and get this to work but i would like to change it like i do now. |
