| Fax and photoshop help
I received a Fax, 2 pages, and opened it in PS. Now PS is only showing the first page. I need to sign both pages and fax them back.
So I opened the fax in irfanview which nicely showed both pages. I had to save each page separately before I could open the second page in ps so I could sign and fax that 2nd page back.
Has to be an easier way. How can I get PS to show both pages of the fax?
thanks. |

Anyway, depending on your software/hardware PNG might be a better choice for format. -- To see what is in front of one's nose needs a constant struggle. -George Orwell |

| reply to Cariad Faxes are always saved in .tif format which probably explains why double clicking opens them in Photoshop. But I'm wondering why you're not using your fax software (either in-house XP or 3rd party) to print and view them. The fax software is designed especially for easy annotation, printing and viewing of faxes. -- Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness. . . | I had to open them in an editing software because I needed to sign them and fax them back.
I didn't want to print them, sign them then scan them, it seemed such a long winded procedure. I thought it easier to open them in ps, sign them in ps then fax them back.
I was just confused why ps was opening only one page of the document and not two like irfanview did.

Infanview may behave differently, more like the fax software, than Photoshop which is primarily a photo editing application.
Not to go too far OT but why couldn't you sign them using the annotation features in the fax software? For instance, I use a scanned signature image I just drop into the page. Sorry, I really don't mean to derail your topic. -- Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness. . . Isa. 5:20 |

Now I know, now I'll check it out.
Gees, I just thought opening in ps and signing was the easiest way to go. |

I would think it would be easy to have Photoshop either ask what page to open, or to show each page as its own layer. Window XP's default image viewer will also allow you to view and save each page. -- -- Judd Patterson Photography -- |
