Re: Anything official concerning Bay Area slowdowns?

I'm only replying to this thread to acknowledge if the current repair work being done has affected the Bay Area, notably the East Bay. As of now, there is no apparent change in the slow speeds so I will continue to monitor and update when there is a change.

- did two SBC speed tests
- 1st: 1286/433
- 2nd: 2191/420

After 8days of slow upload speeds, fixed, sorta, kinda maybe?

From the slew of posts we can easily see its happening during peak hours. Toaster or anyone else atleast give us some info rather take sbc's approach and say there's nothing wrong.

calling tech support is utterly useless. I get the same info. its looks fine to us. they can't answer why I'm getting such horrible speeds.

I'm supposed to be getting pro speeds. after a quick speed this this is what I"m getting.

720kbps down, 415kbps up

1/3 of what I paid.

utterly ridiculous. I hope you 6 meg people it isn't as bad.

Edit* Dr.Ping is in the 90s, it's usually low 70s high 60s. Getting tons of packet loss and re-xmits. Overall pretty crappy.
