| Re: Verizon DRY LOOP I managed to reschedule an appointment for them to come do the wiring. Looks like they'll hopefully be here on 01/23 and my service should be ready by 01/25. BTW, how long does it normally take to receive the DSL equipment?(Keep in mind I placed my order on 01/10) TIA:) | |

| Re: Verizon DRY LOOP • I think you live in Brooklyn, NY. The MCO is full and they won't have an available circut possibly for another 3 weeks, they will delay your SRD I am fairly sure until then. Not 110% sure, just an educatated guess. -- »www.bootleggers.us | |

Correct. I live in Brooklyn. I called yesterday morning to have a technician come over to do the wiring since I missed them last Friday.:(
They told me no technicians available until Monday morning, so I took that. Since I ordered dry loop DSL, I'm not sure exactly if the availability of circuits will affect me. Hopefully not.

You're right. The technician came over yesterday evening and finished the wiring in my apt. I called this morning to ask why I never received my modem and installation kit. I spoke with someone from Verizon local and they confirmed that CO is full and weren't taking any order and possibly in February, there'll be available circuits. Any way to expedite this?:(

| Re: Verizon DRY LOOP I would like to order "dry loop dsl" via Verizon for my new apartment in Washington DC. After reading these forums, I am unclear whether I can actually call Verizon and order "Dry Loop DSL" or whether I need to go through the charade of:
--Ordering POTS + DSL. --Switch to CC bill. --Port POTS to Vonage. --Wait for number to transfer. --Cancel Vonage.
And then end up with dry loop DSL via Verizon. Option #1: placing an order for what I really want is infinitely better. But if not possible, then option #2 is what I will do.
But beofore embarking on this jounrey, I wanted to reconfirm that the humans at Verizon are now taking orders for "Dry Loop DSL."
Thanks. | |
