HEY!!!!, You can't leave!. We need Your expertise. I for one have never really had a problem with the way You handle and or respond to posts in this thread. If someone is working on Your nerves, they may be doing it on purpose?, and if You quit or dollarcide, they will have won, and I wouldn't want to see that. If You do nothing else, just continue to post in this forum. I normally do NOT post in any other forum on this site, as the level of understanding and professionalism is not there. Michael, please consider staying in this forum only, as I find there are very few people that have the level of knowledge and expertise that You do. Please Reconsider?

I've been here over a year now. Micheal...you are great. If some jerk is being a jerk...I'll track him down like the dog they are. If your leaving because it's "time to move on" then good luck my man. If only I had known you longer and learned more from you.

Whoah Michael.....Hang On! I've only been here for about 5 months, but you treated me like a regular when I asked dumb questions like the rest of the newbies. Also, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have a clue about how to use RM! And we have to keep checking your posts for new cool signatures!!! If there are folks on here that don't like your opinions, that is their problem...not yours! Please reconsider if that is the reason!

Hmm...This seems to happen on every forum at one time or another... A longtime member makes a dramatic exit from the forum claiming he will never post again.

DaDogs, I have always found your posts helpful and informative and are an asset to the forum. Why did you decide to leave?

I don't know what is going on, but I do know you have been pressured out before. If there is someone attacking you privately, I don't know how to advise you Mike, but leaving is not the answer.

I have found your posts to be very informative. I find you to be a real asset for this forum.

I feel very fortunate, when I have you and the other guys here help me out with my elementary questions.

Lately I have been kind of "asked out" (can't think of too many more questions...LOL). But I still love to read everybodies posts...and that include yours too.

Please reconsider.

Yes, stay! You've been a great asset to me and many others! Also, a great 2 cents worth giving guy! Some of the discussions you've commented on, needed a strong confident second/third/fourth point of view that you've provided. Some of them amusing! Stay, your again, a great asset to this forum! Don't forget, that this forum is helping to give birth to a still infant industry! You've been a key player in this! How many folks, outside of this forum, can say they've done that without a million dollars in their pocket!

Hey guys/girls this is just wireless internet. There is naturally going to be a little tension between folks with different opinions (canopy vs tranzeo, linux vs ms) especially if there have been some bad experiences, but it's still stupid electronic communications devices that work a lot of the time, hack off customers when they don't, hopefully make us some money, and give us a chance to solve a problem that doesn't have a standard solution. It's simply not worth getting all worked up about (even though I have one generally angry lady customer and a generally drunk customer who would differ with me on this point).

I think it's great to have lots of points of view even if I can't justify them in my own business. Besides in arguments over linux vs MS you know Darth Gates ("all too easy") will win in the end (he only looses in the movies). Unless the conversation turns to Chillian baseball heroes of the 30's I think it's worth staying around and posting when you have a question or when you think you can help. If the moderator does a decent job of cutting threads that are going the wrong direction (personal attacks that aren't funny and meant in jest, using bad words, or chillian baseball heroes) things should be fine.

Steve, it appears that You and Michael have some personal issues to deal with?. I am sorry that the situation has taken a wrong turn for You guys.
I have known for quite some time that in other forums his opinions have gotten him into trouble. In this forum however, we have never had a problem?
I guess I speak for all of us when I say that we hope he continues to provide valuable input to us here in this forum, and that is what I meant when I said "Something You may not understand".
I guess I would just like to keep any negativity about him out of this forum, as we have not experienced it yet, nor do we need to under any circumstances. While You may have a very valid issue with Michael, it is one that didn't happen here, so IMHO, there should also be no discussion about it here?.

It might be more appropriate to IM people you are friendly with that you are leaving and why.

A general post like this is inviting emotional reflections about someones character that would best be left off the forum IMO.
