I came across this little guide which shows you how to save Google Videos to your computer, step by step, and it worked great for me! I can watch these huge 75MB+ videos on my own harddrive without having to wait for the entire video to finish downloading every time I revisit the page with a cleared out internet cache.

1. View the source code of specified webpage. 2. Look for a massive url in the source that looks a little like the following: /googleplayer.swf?videoUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvp.video.google.com%2?- Fvideoplayback%3Fid%3D21f406a4ace7?- 934%26begin%3D0%26len%3D289722%26i?- tag%3D5%26docid%3D-834148113925171?- 5982%26urlcreated%3D1131384101%26s?- igh%3DN01oaQf2SSOMRLS-ZwyF8TZKnjU&autoPlay=true" 3. Copy text thats after videourl to the first & mark (as highlighted above). 4. Replace charecters with the following: %3A - : %2F - \ %3D - = %26 - & %3F - ? 5. Paste modified url into a browser window and download the file (save file with a flv extention). 6. Download FLV Player to play video.
Just watch and enjoy all the videos you download with the free FLV Player. It's simple, lite, and works amazingly well.
To do step 4, simply use Notepad and go to Edit > Replace.

 | Interesting to see a more detailed guide, but I just used this »feelingtea.com/decode/google/index.php - which is simpler to be honest (no doubt there are many other sites doing this). I downloaded the 500 MB FLV video of the Google Factory Tour with it ... |

For Windows users, I've automated the entire process. »www.paulsadowski.com/WSH/GetGoog···ersion_3 -- Air America Radio | The Brights | Left, Right & Center |

Go to Google video and find a video. Copy the URL of that Video from IE's address bar.
Click on the icon for GetGoogleVideo.vbs and paste in the URL when prompted for the Google Video. The script will then get the real URL of the Video and download it for you. -- Air America Radio | The Brights | Left, Right & Center |

 | reply to sadowski Thanks.
I don't know if it is because I am using firefox, but when i went to your site, i didn't see anything that was downloadable.
I didn't know if maybe I had to copy that script and create my own or what.
Thanks for the help. -- 118 characters left No images allowed Longer sig will not appear below short posts! Sorry, referrals in URLs are not allowed. |

sadowskiI Am My Own DoppelgangerPremium,MVM join:2000-04-14 Buffalo, NY | No, you're not mistaken. There's no down loadable version on the site. It had to be copied and pasted.
There must be 50+ scripts there. I forget that not everyone knows how to do scripting or batch files and such.
Anyway, have fun with it... -- Air America Radio | The Brights | Left, Right & Center |

OutOfMemopenSUSE 11.4Premium join:2001-05-11 | reply to sadowski Impressive! The .vbs script works perfectly! Is there some way to make it use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer to download the videos, though? Firefox has a better download manager that can resume, and I also use this extension called "Download Them All!" which features segment downloading. So if you could find some way to make it do a normal download in Firefox, I think I would kiss your feet!
Nice work, man! |

 | reply to OutOfMem Now, if I can only find something like this for iFilm.com
That would be awesome. |

There's probably no reason some FF developer couldn't make a plugin or whatever. -- Air America Radio | The Brights | Left, Right & Center |

sadowskiI Am My Own DoppelgangerPremium,MVM join:2000-04-14 Buffalo, NY | reply to login name You can right-click the viewer for the properties. Use wget to get the asx file then use wget again to get the film. Don't konw if it will work but that's how you'd do it.
Google wget for windows. Easier still find a copy of WM Recorder. -- Air America Radio | The Brights | Left, Right & Center |

GTaylorPremium join:2002-12-14 Frisco, TX | reply to OutOfMem With IE you could always grab it from your Temporary Internet Files, at least that's what I have been doing. |
