Disney Connection via Verizon Central homepage

Hi,

I tried the disney connection (there is an ad for this on the right side of the verizon central homepage) and am told that I have insufficient bandwith.

Is this because i have the 768 service? Could someone else give it a try and let me know whether it works for them (at what connection speed they have)?

Thanks

I'm on the 768 tier and it works for me. I had to enable popups for that site in Firefox first, but otherwise no problem. Was able to see video clips and all.

What browser are you using? You might want to try another browser. Do you have Firefox?

Also, what results do you get when you do a speed test? Are you getting close to your provisioned speed on downloads? If not, maybe that's the issue.

I'm using IE 6. I don't have firefox, I'll try my connection at work tomorrow (which is also IE) and see if there is any difference.

I tried two different speed tests. The verizon test was 674 Kbits, the speakeasy test was 726...

Thanks for the response, LGM2.

I wish i could help you but i am having a simalar problem. Instead of getting a message of insufficient bandwith, i get an error message to turn off my pop-up blockers, and make sure you are using verizon DSL or Fios.

anybodys got and tips

When I first tried it in Firefox, I also got a page telling me to turn off the popup blocker. I thought it would be just quicker to open IE and try it there. But then I also got the page about the popup blocker there, which is strange because as far as I know, IE has no popup blocker. So I went back into Firefox and just enabled popups for that website. Then it worked fine.

I suggest going to mozilla.com and downloading Firefox. Once installed, go to Options>Content and enable the popup blocker which is great, but enter www.dmc.go.com (the Disney site) into the list of allowed sites. I don't know how anyone can browse these days without a popup blocker. Popups used to drive me crazy before I used Netscape and Firefox which have had blockers for quite some time.

By the way ecdiamond, your speed seems fine so I think it's probably the browser issue. Try Firefox and it should work.

I finally got it to work in both browsers. I had to type www.dmc.go.com in directly to get it to work. On IE I had to sign in to verizon online first, on mozilla it didn't seem to matter.

I'm glad it works, but I wonder why I have to type the address in directly?

Looks like a pretty good site for the young ones...

Looks like i am too late, I was just going to tell you how i got it to work on my computer. I have to uninstall yahoo toolbar, once i did not, i had no problems, but i didn't had to sign into my verizon account.
