Separate Fox News/NYPost from News Corp./Rupert Murdoch in the same manner that you would separate Ted Turner/Turner Broadcasting from CNN.

When you've done that, let me know what you find.

We have yet to see such outright falsifications on any other channels than FauxNews.
FauxNews iis the most primitive, cheapest level fearmongering crap. It doesn't work sh*t, it's a joke all around the wolrd, an example as the world's most biased "news" source. FauxNews operates and distorts *exactly* the same way as old Commie news sources did during my first 2x years in Mid-Eu, only that FauxNews is on the other end of the palette. Worthless piece of shit. I hope Murdoch, this abominable old worm, will rot in hell forever for this (thx God his son already showed him his middle finger when he chosen his family over that craptastic tabloid NY Post).

Really, Kamm, tell us how you really feel.

In all seriousness, consider your options here: CBS/NBC/ABC/CNN/PMSNBC/NYT reporting the same bullshit or FoxNews.

Oh, and before you start with "outright falsifications" I should quite easily remind you of the fiasco that CBS went through when Dan "This Is My Honest Face" Rather decided to forge documents in order to prop up his bullshit theory about Bush and his time served in the National Guard

And let's not forget how each of the major stations just ate up every word Slick Willie had to say about how there wasn't anything wrong with starting a war in Eastern Europe to cover up (quite badly I might add) a minor indiscretion with an intern during election season.

So yes, I prefer FoxNews to Communist News Network, All Bullshit Central, Clinton Broadcasting Stations, Nazi Broadcasting Company, or the only old grey lady I think should've been euthanized long ago, the New York Times (which is just so crappy it doesn't deserve a witty nickname).

Bring it.

EDIT - Oh, and I noticed you didn't take me up on my original challenge - to separate Rupert & News Corp from FoxNews & NYPost the same way you would separate Ted Turner & Turner Broadcasting from CNN. I guess you can't, and I'll assume otherwise until I get an opposing response of some significance.

You forgot to mention Nationalized Pinko Radio.

Mocking them all is fine if you're getting your news from multiple objective sources you filter with a discerning eye (via say a portal).

But if you're both gobbling up Fox News nonsense while lecturing on fine journalism, it's kind of like an 87 year old doling out fashion tips. Cute, but irrelevant.

You just can't stop with the biased journalism.

Your bias is leaking all over the place!!! LEAKING!!!

I never said I only got my news from Fox News. I just don't trust the established news outlets, nor do I consider them objective.

Your leaking comment makes no sense (this is the comment section, not "journalism"), so I'll ignore it.

Fox News isn't established? Do you, or don't you believe they are an example of fine journalism?

I don't trust the "previously" established news outlets which I named in a previous post.

And yes, in retrospect that comment does not make sense considering this is a place established for opinions and yours count just as much as mine. Sorry, Karl.. it's been a long day already.

Not really, considering that FOX News has been number 1 in the ratings for many years, even during the times when many cable systems did not carry it, shows that they know something about delivering the news that outlets like CNN, NBC, ABC, SeeBS (in light of their recent scandals, that title is entirely appropriate), PBS and NPR don't. As the old saying goes, you cannot argue with results.

Am I saying FOX News is perfect and that they are unbiased? Of course not, every news organization makes mistakes and its employees' slants can be seen in their work. But I think part of FOX News' being #1 is that they do not have some of the very serious credibility issues that some of the other networks face.

I know I personally won't believe a weather report or sports score listing in the New York Times because of their record of distorting the news (which dates back to Stalin's starvation of Ukranian Farmers in the 1930s). I know I won't be taking CNN very seriously because their own former news division head admitted to purposefully covering up Saddam Hussein's atrocities in order to maintain a news presence in Baghdad (yes, I know it was to protect their employees, but why have a news bureau if you're not going to report the news? I have no journalistic background, but is that not the point of that business? It's like a magician not "majishing"). How much other "dirty laundry" are they keeping under wraps so that they can maintain offices in Havana or Caracas?

Sure you can. They took the shitty, half-assed speculative pseudo-journalism started by CNN, where they focus on ratings over intelligent investigative content, and simply perfected it. Weeks of Aruba missing girl coverage in a world where so much more happens.

Bland pro-industry "journalism" that doesn't upset sponsors. "Content" aimed at simplistic absolutist partisan thinkers who just want to be fed non-challenging information they agree with. News that's simply entertainment for the simple-minded, not investigative journalism. It's an epidemic across all media, and Fox is as bad as (if not worse than) any of them.

You're absolutely fooling yourself then. They don't run into "credibility issues" because they do even less investigative & controversial reporting than the big three.

You can do plenty of investigative and controversial reporting and not have credibility issues. For example, say the fake story SeeBS ran about Bush's NG service had in fact been true and was verified by outside sources. Would that be investigative and controversial? Absolutely. Would there have been a credibility issue? Nope.

Heck, FOX broke the story about Bush having a DUI 2 days before the 2000 election. It was definitely controversial, but since it was true, there were no credibility issues whatsoever.
