 Anon | Now Available ---NOT!!!
Beware of Picus! I signed up for their DSL service in Feb. 2000. Four months later, I'm STILL waiting; despite advertisements in local computer periodicals that DSL is "Now Available". It is not, nor can ANYONE at Picus give me a firm date as to when it will be available. The only answer I get is "next month". I have been to their office buildings on four separate occasions to resolve problems. I have received 2 monthly statements from them; neither of which has been correct for the services that they are able to provide (local and long distance phone service- which I had to subscribe to in order to qualify for DSL). My first incorrect statement was for last month. I went to their offices to have the mistake corrected. Customer support provided me all the "right" answers. They appear well trained, even though business is conducted in the building lobby. This month when I received my statement, not only was the mistake not corrected, but I was billed a "past due" amount for the previous mistake. Were billing errors my only problems, I MIGHT overlook the situation, but I've also had my internet service disconnected due to these "mistakes". Customer support always has the "right" answers to provide, but there is no substance behind what they say. The only service that has been provided consistently is "lip service". DSL is NOT available. | | Anon | As a follow-up, I have since learned that Picus does have FOUR dsl customers to whom it is providing services. However, what CO they are actually on remains a mystery. Especially, since my CO was suppose to be one if not the first to come on-line. Hardly justifies a status of "Now Available" in my opinion. Anyway... I still think their "service" speaks for itself. | |
