[Other] VoiceEclipse review

I have had VoiceEclipse for about a week now. I went with the 2 number unlimited package for 19.95/month. VE uses a PAP2 ATA, but it is not locked out. I asked for and received the user and admin passwords. Tech support is great. Never put on hold for more than 2 minutes and the people in their NOC really know what they are doing. They are willing to stay on the line and work out any issue.

In my case I was having some problems accessing a voicemail system, DTMF tones not going thru correctly. They stayed on the line with me for almost 45 minutes while they tweaked things on their end until it worked.

All emails are answered promptly and with a case number. All cases are tracked by amount of time ticket has been opened.

They are even willing to make custom changes to your profile, such as Dial Plan modifications. I sent them my Dial Plan and within hours my PAP2 updated with the new plan.

Voice quality is great and the feature set is very good. I even found there are a couple of undocumented features in their system.

Only a couple of bugs: all voicemails are time stamped with central time as the server is in Chicago. They tell me this will be corrected soon. Also CID does not show caller names in my area, only the number. They say they are passing all info, but some partners don’t pass the name, but they are working with them to solve this.

Overall 2 separate numbers for less than $20 month, it’s hard to beat.

Re: [Other] VoiceEclipse review

Glad to hear they are working out for you. I almost gave them a try, but they don't offer local numbers for me.

One question, if you have an unlocked PAP2, why didn't you change the dial plan yourself ?

Keep us posted as time goes by

Re: [Other] VoiceEclipse review

I didnt change it myself as it would not stick if I left the provision feature on. This way it sticks whenever they do provision changes.
