Backdoors

Taken From Website

Moreover, the Starforce drivers, installed on your system, grant ring 0 (system level) privileges to any code under the ring 3 (user level) privileges. Thus, any virus or trojan can get OS privileges and totally control your system. Since Windows 2000, the Windows line security and stability got enhanced by separating those privileges, but with the Starforce drivers, the old system holes and instabilities are back and any program (or virus) can reach the core of your system by using the Starforce drivers as a backdoor.

LEVEL 0 ACCESS IS ONLY FOR OS AND REAL HARDWARE imagine what would happen if a bug happens in there. thats right a format is gonna be needed afer a starware Malware on your system

Best tell Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120%, etc that Ring 0 is only for real hardware. Their virtual drives seem to operate at Ring 0. As do some Antivirus products.

See my previous post regarding Mark Russinovich's assessment of the program.

Anyone taking a website named Boycott Starforce as being definitive information about the product they are encouraging a boycott of is being a little naive.

No proof is offered at all.

There's no code extract showing a way to shove information into the Starforce driver, cause an overflow and compromise a machine.

Someone show me an expoit (apart from the potential issue that was never exploited and was patched a long time ago) then I'll agree.
