hi thanks, of course the card was cancelled already. i sure know that the info of my card was copied. what i don't understand is how they can make the fraudulent charges appear in your account, withdraw the money, and then have the fraudulent charges disppear, as if they had never been there, making investigation virtually impossible. how to do that?
by the way, this happens in montreal. i wonder if it has connection with that other post that has fraudulent charges from montreal. ( »[Credit Card Fraud] Charge Card Fraud Attempt ) becuz i had the feeling that the club owner belongs to some kind of fraud ring. |

There is a device called "parrot" that is used to "COPY" your information to "DUPLICATE" your credit card. They form NEW cards with your information embedded with your information.
I would cancel the card ASAP and let the credit card company know about this. |

i guess no one has any idea how it is done that credit card charges can stay on only temporarily in the banks computer and then self-destruct in two days. because it seems this is what has happened |

hi,
i want to ask you guys if you have ever heard of this strangest credit card fraud.
i had this credit card from the u.s. that i barely ever used, and one night, in canada, i was in a spooky night club i often go to and the club owner swiped the card for some charges. the NEXT DAY as i was checking the balance of the credit card i noticed that the bank suddenly cancelled the card because several fraudulent charges had appeared, and the actual charges for the night club never appeared. i presumed it was the owner of the night club that had something to do with it because he was the only one who had ever charged my credit card in the last month and a half.
now, a week later, as i re-checked the account the fraudulent charges had suddenly disappeared and the actual charges had appeared. many months ago when i used a debit card at the same club the same strange thing had happened. it was charged twiced -- and you thought it was the "double hold" phenomenon when the charger wanted to make sure they can get your money -- but no, because when this second hold disappeared, the balance never came back. it was as if the card was charged twice, but one charge had left no trace whatsoever.
remember it was the bank who discovered the fraudulent charges and cancelled the card. and now they can't find any traces of the fraudulent charges anymore.
i think the owner of the night club belongs to some criminal element. but how is it that he can charge on your credit or debit card and then pull out the record of this charge, so that it is as if he has never charged?
is there a way to bust him? |
