Re: Was the WMF vulnerability purchased for $4000?

Why pay anything? Microsoft gave me a free copy of the vulnerability, several years ago.

You can find it on websites like Security Focus or FRsirt for free, whom of which have absolutely no problem allowing 0-day exploit code posting for just Microsoft products.

I think you misunderstood.

I was commenting on use of language in the title.

The vulnerability came bundled with Microsoft Windows at no extra cost. All us Windows users had it.

What was sold was either a description of the vulnerability, or code to exploit the vulnerability, not the vulnerability.

Gee... Kinda makes you wonder how many other exploits are out there being sold right now, that we have no idea about.
