| I Don't Understand
I was trying to get my distance updated. (I have a Covad line at 6,000 feet and Verizon at 17,900 feet) Can't seem to get that done. Then, I read that I can get a 1.5/128k upgrade for free according to your support site. I email it up and they say I can get 1.5/384k. That is an upgrade that is more money. I email back and they say I cannot get the 1.5/128k to call billing. I call billing and I do not qualify for the free upgrade. So I qualify for the upgrade for more money but not the "free upgrade". Something is real shakey here. Here is the email:
Thank you for your email. Great news! Your line qualifies for our up to 1.5mbps/384kbps DSL upgrade service. Actual connection and throughput speeds and uninterrupted use of the service are not guaranteed.
If you wish to proceed with this speed upgrade, we ask that you please respond to this email to confirm. For the protection of our subscribers we need to verify that the person requesting a change to the account is the account holder and thus has authority to change information on the account. Please reply to this email with your name, DSL telephone number and billing address for verification. Once we receive this information we will make the change that you requested within 48 hours.
Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your business and value you as a customer. Thank you for choosing Verizon Online as your Internet Service Provider.
