|  [connectivity] Lose sync. Fix by disconnect/reconnect telco
I have this annoying problem where my DSL connection (Verizon telco but another ISP) will lose sync. It happens maybe 3 times in a month. I have a Westell modem and have had a previous Westell modem that it replaced that showed the same problem. I also have a splitter in the point of entry to the house. To fix the problem, I have tried power cycling, disconnecting all phones and filters, but I can't get sync again until I go to the splitter and disconnect one wire of the network for a half minute or so and then reconnect it. Sync is immediately restored and the network will work fine for a week or two more. Anyone encounter this strange problem or explain what the problem could be? |
