Don't even say digital cable, its a joke, less than 25% of their channels are even broadcast digitally and cost wise cable is nearly twice what the equivalent channel packages are through dishnet or directv.
That all depends on where you live and what cable company you have. My cable access is 100% digital channels, just like satellite. And compression ratios are as good as or better than the equivalent satellite channels.
