They don't start taking web-orders untill Friday it says so of course there won't be anything yet on there website.

I might actually have to take the plunge for 12 months into this strange new high speed revolution. I am still on dial-up @ $5.95 per month. Might splurge to see what its like.

My father is still paying AT&T Worldnet Dial-Up 24.95 per month.... This would be for my father as they could let him keep his current e-mail address.

If you do, you will NEVER go back to dial-up! It's like crack! Once you use it, you're hooked!

Once I took the plunge years ago, I never looked back. I moved five different times and used their dial-up service, until the DSL was up and running. Needless to say, the last two times I moved, I decided to wait until I got the DSL switched to my new address. Using dial-up while waiting is a definite PITA.

Not quite. We are still unable to merge over Worldnet accounts. There's a fix proposed, but no ETA.

Great.... The best he can do is the 5.95 per month plan which he would still be paying for two providers.

Thats what I'm afraid of lol. After 12 months when the price gets jacked up to $29.99 I won't be able to go back to dial-up. I've seen deals though for Comcast internet for $19.99 month for 6 months so I guess I could jump to that next.

The website specifically says that current AT&T Worldnet users who switch to DSL can keep all their same functions, including email addys and personal web pages.
