will Charter offer a "VOIP like" product ?

Just curious, if Charter will offer a VOIP like product in the near future. I am in Riverbank CA (central valley). I ama tech in the Bay area but live out here. I just went through CDV (Comcast Digital Voice) training and am wondering.

Charter does offer a telephone service like Comcast's offering, but I'm a tech here in MA so I cant tell you about availability in CA.

And it's really expensive. Costs $3 more than my old POTS Line.

Admittedly Charter phone does come with unlimited long distance but my old POTS line came with free 500 minutes which I never used up.

So I really don't understand Charters logic behind their pricing.

If they do you will regret changing to it. The service is awful and they cannot fix it. You will be talking on the phone and it just cuts out. It is a good deal but it does not work I am going back to Verizon it will cost me more but atleast the service works. Stay away from Charter Telephone Service it is junk.

I live in Auburn, which is served off the same headend as Pepperell, and we don't have any problems, I also know people in Webster and Worcester who use Charter Telephone with no problems.

Why not just install"Gizmo"? I've been using it with great results for the last two weeks.
