I hope you're using Azureus 2.3.0.7, or you are only experiencing the placebo effect , but it does work. For example, in uTorrent if you look in your Peers tab in the Flags column an e or E indicates that you're using an encrypted connection. Give uTorrent a try, it's an amazing app.
