Lets see... a company which charges you on both local + long distance (SBC + AT&T) from a somewhat regulated environment wants to impose its business logic on an unregulated market. Not going to work. SBC gets you on the locally regulated line, AT&T gets you on the LD portion. They wish to apply that kind of logic to the web... They charge you the consumer for the connection to the DSL/DSLAM (local), then try to charge someone else for the backbone (LD) so that they make money and don't pay for anything. |
