afaik you can't clone anything to PS2. The other thing I was worried about was it getting noticed. I figure they have systems in place to detect simple MAC spoofing like that but I'm a total n00b so I really have no idea. What do you think? |

| No, they shouldn't be able to tell. The xbox and pc will only broadcast what you let them. Now if u had 1000's different macs in 1 day due to spoofing macs for one reason or another, then they could tell. -- Running mdk 2006 & Ubutnu 5.10!Virus, spyware, bluescreen... What's that like? |

1 edit | Thanks much for the help. Now when you say "what you let them" what does that mean? Say I used a program like Mac Makeup. Now what I would like to do is assign a "new address" to my controller (and not my PCI itself, I assume) that matches my PS2 address, so I can then register the computer online and use both (at separate times). Now by default it has "Filter Virtual Interfaces" and "Auto NIC OFF/ON" checked. Is there anything else I should not "let them" see? Like, for example, should I manually set my PS2's IP, netmask and DNS settings to match my computer's? Thanks much, as you can tell I'm pretty noobish at this beyond knowing that this is one possible option. |

| Just clone the mac, thats all that really matters. I doubt they're going to check anything or even care for that matter, they should have more imoprtant things to do than making sure ur not playing ps2 games online.
As far as that program goes, I'm not at all familiar with it. -- Running mdk 2006 & Ubutnu 5.10!Virus, spyware, bluescreen... What's that like? |
