| How do I know if my HDD is 3GB/s?
I have a custom built system by CyberPowerSystem, and it has an ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe mobo which supports 3GB/s SATA. It has an Hitachi 160GB hard drive (dont know anything else). Is there any tool that will tell me what my HDD can do? And also, I want to get a second HDD as a backup, but is it OK to have that is 3GB/s and one that isnt, will that effect anything (I wont be doing RAID, ill be copying True Image backups over) |

The transfer speed is what matters, not the drive speed. -- Never argue with an idiot. Theyll drag you down to their level then beat you with experience. ***** And I'm a woman BTW . |

Obviously the speed i get is limited (among other things) to the IDE drive's speed. |
