| Accessing firmware with pppoe adapter?
Someone's using Win 2000, Me or 98 and cannot access their Speedstream firmware. They install Access Manager immediately afterwards they can now access their firmware? I've noticed this more than once...is it strictly the nic acting twitchy or is it also the modem? Or is it the process of restarting the computer that makes it work?

| 5200, 5242, 4200 and their firmware which are all the same I'd think. Thing is with the PPPOE adapter one should have trouble accessing the firmware...but it does the exact opposite. The nic (which is normally the cause) isn't touched in this case and the modem isn't reset/powercycled either. So is it the act of 'restarting the Windows' after installing AM that does it or is it truly the adapter that makes it work...or is it a corrupt TCP/IP? I've also heard of people accessing the firmware while online using AM and sometimes that works. |
