Don't Throw It Away, Until You Read This

Frequently, I read near the end of a thread, "Make me any offer! I'm afraid that the end result is that many items are thrown away.

This is where I come in. Items as small as an internal 56k modem to a complete older tower could be used to help a needy family.

In my spare time, I dabble in computers.
Here's a Advertisement I run in a local Publication:
COMPUTERS OR Computer Parts taking up space? I rebuild computers from parts for needy students to have a computer for school. Accepting donations of computers, keyboards, 40-52x CD-Rom, hard drives 3 gig or larger , mouse, speakers, 10/100 Lan Cards, 56k modems, 64 bit graphics cards, decent sound cards, and PC-100 Ram or newer. References available.

Folks are upgrading at an enormous rate or are sitting on old computers or components and don't want to throw them in the Landfill. Local charities like Goodwill, Faithfarms, Salvation Army stopped accepting computers last year.
My objective is to get older computers to needy students to have their first computer for school. It's sad as you well know that their are many families that don't have $50.00 to buy a computer.

Here's where you fellow BBRers can assist. Any item that sitting on the shelf unused and collecting dust could help your fellow man. Please contact me through an IM, let's discuss what you have and see what arrangements can be made.
There's no rocket science to this. Please open your hearts so our children can get a proper education.
Many thanks,
Don

I've got a lot of experience putting together machines for those in need, so if there's anything in particular you are looking for, gimme a shout and I'll dig through my pile when I get home (on reading break in Calgary right now)

Mod Note from Icarus: I can assure everyone that this thread was discussed at great length and included several people that know playbl162 See Profile personally before we decided to allow it. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is anything less than 110% legit.

KAMAKAZE75,
Good question. I wouldn't trust me if I didn't know me, either.
When I asked for Moderator approval to have this posted. I explained to Axilla See Profile and asked him to review references of folks that know me for along time here at DSLR.
The Churches here in my hometown don't have any websites that I could link you to.
Please only send me items if you are comfortable in your heart with doing so.
Im me and discuss with me with what you have and we can look into the shopping fees, together.
