[Extreme] How do i know i have 6Mb?

I received a letter stateing that the price of cable service is going up, but i didn't know if that also meant internet. So i called them and asked how much i was paying for internet (extreme) the tech guy said i was paying 44.-- and that i was getting 6Mb, how can that be?

When i do a speed test on speakeasy i get 4.7Mb. Is there any other way to check if my modem is able to go to 6Mb (Has it been updated?)

That also says i have 5Mb and on another note, i still have the 69 ip range if that helps.

Check your Disk Usage in your customer console on the Rogers site.

6mbit users have 100GB transfer limit, 5mbit have 60GB.

Finally got upgraded last night after running around for a few days trying to get someone who knew something.

I knew my intuition was right, i don't have 6Mb I'm only on 5Mb cause i still have the old 60 GB cap.

If it says your transfer limit is 60GB then you're on 5Mbps, but if it says 100GB then you're on 6Mbps.

Service Includes: 102,400 MB

So I guess that is the 100GB?

That's correct. You're on the 6Mbps.

That extra $2 is well worthy. Call Rogers and upgrade to 6mb, you will be very happy with the improved speed.

I called again and asked the consumer service sales rep to change me to the new service, she said if she did my 10% Better choice bundle would be decreased to 5%

How does that work? Isn't the percent discount determined by the number of services i have, I'm not removing the service I'm just changing it.

Or do i have something flawed in my assumption?

The new bundles should be 2 services - 5%, 3 - 10% and 4 - 15%

Yeah, thats what i assumed but why would it change if i didn't add or remove a service?

I just told them that I see on the website that it is suppose to be 6Mb and I have a 5Mb. I believe I'm on the old extreme and she said yes you are I will change that for you right now. My internet shut down and came back 2 secs later. I had the updated extreme. It is amazing how the tech support can make all the difference. They have use by the ball because if you cancel your account you have to pay back the bundle discount if you have one.

Like I said mine was easy took 10min from the time I dialed to the time it took to update my system and say good-bye.

Can someone post a link or tell me how to get to the rogers customer console? I tried looking for it, but I guess I'm blind or something, I can't find it anywhere. =(

www.rogers.com and look at the top of the page and Register there (be careful NOT to register for online billing!) and then go to Sign In on the main Rogers page.

I already did associate my rogers account number with my online rogers account (blanked out), but it's prompting me to do it again? I really hate how the rogers sites give absolutely no information on what the problem is and you're basically at a dead end. It's very frustrating =(
