@comcast.net | [Connectivity] connectivity issues in willow grove, pa, area?
I've noticed some pretty shoddy connectivity here in Lower Moreland, PA. My Comcast office is in Willow Grove. Modem levels look OK, but it falls out of sync and back a few times a day this past week or so.
Anyone else? |

I did lose my connection mysteriously today in Warrington, just a few miles north of you. However, a simple restart of my LAN's wireless router and I was fine.
I'm not sure what caused my LAN to lose it's connection but it doesn't happen often. However, it hasn't happened but this one time. |

I'm still having problems. I did a line quality test, but am unable to determine if this tells me there's something wrong at my house or if there is something wrong on Comcast's end.

My downstream Signal to Noise Ratio is 36 dB. Power level is -4 dBmV. My upstream power level is 47 dB. |

Yes, I've called tech support a couple times. First they said there were problems in the area. Then they said there weren't. Then they said there were again.
I'm still confused. My connection is definitely BETTER, but I still have packet loss. I don't believe I'm losing sync anymore.

1 edit | Your 4100 is using good firmware.
Your signal levels are great.
It doesn't leave much as variables except a Comcast issue or the slight chance the 4100 is having "hardware issues".
Check your signal levels a couple times a day and check the logs.
Can you post the log please?

Is it me, or has any one noticed that when you do a trace route, you don't hit level 3 or uu.net networks any more?
For the past few weeks file plaint has been slow and also a few others sites. Like speakeasy's speed test. I used to do over 10mb doing some of there speed tests. Now I am lucky to brake over 6mb....
 ..QoS may be? Or is comcast starting to do some rerouting in anticipation of some networks limiting bandwidth to there own users? |
