| I don't know what your problem is, and I am not using a DW7000 (yet--got the email saying mine would be delivered within a couple of weeks today), but using my 19 month old DW6000CE with IE6/Maxthon, it took 45 seconds to access and log in to MyEbay.
I then signed out and using Firefox it took about 75 seconds to do the same. Firefox has always been noticeable slower on my systems, even though I have them tweaked as recommended here. The Maxthon front end to IE6 gives me tabbed browsing and some of the other FF features I like without the slowness.
If you haven't already tried it, you might want to try browsing with IE rather than the FF indicated in your sig line to see if it makes any difference. I can log into HTTPS with FF, but as stated, it is slower, and if that is the case with you, it COULD be so slow you are timing out.
Best of luck.

| reply to zudnik I'm not DW7000, but just a few offerings;
Re-read your previous topics, and wondering if you ever tried removing your network and using just one computer hooked up to the 7000? You will have to change the network settings on that computer to make it work properly with the 7000. I would try that and see if performance with secure sites, and all sites, for that matter, is better, and your error rate drops. A lot of 'unknowns' go away if you work without the networking for now.
Also, that computer will need to be free of all virus, spyware and trojans.... -- SRS 4000 CE, 4.2.1.10, G4R, 1250, W2K@all updates, IE6@all updates, ICS, 5 Clients (one wireless, one Linux) RSL 83. | | zudnik Premium join:2005-12-29 Sauquoit, NY
| Greatly appreciate the offerings of help. alas have done both and no luck with either some days are better then others may need to contact tech support on this one, also have tried different dns servers too with no luck. the transmission problem has been incredibly much better, the noc must have made some changes. I'll try to keep you posted on this problem. if any one else has any ideas please let me know more then willing to try something different. -- direcway,DW7000pro w/o static,IA8 1330,win-xp home,firefox1.0.7 networked,linksys wireless+wired router,xp-pro client,xp-home client | | zudnik Premium join:2005-12-29 Sauquoit, NY
| Somthing not mentioned is for some reason advanced tech support had my change my wattage from 1 watt transmiter to 2 watt when i was having download speed problems, he had me do this while switching me from 1150 transponder to 1330, don't imagine this has anything to do with this problem but seems stange to switch wattage.Any idea's?? -- direcway,DW7000pro w/o static,IA8 1330,win-xp home,firefox1.0.7 networked,linksys wireless+wired router,xp-pro client,xp-home client | | fsebentley

| reply to zudnik I encountered the same symptoms, some site load extremely slow or not at all, usually ones that require a login such as Monster.com and Ebay. I run 6 computers over the DW connect and this problem only seemed to affect a couple of them, after testing and fiddlin I found that te affected PC's had TCPv6 installed, after removing this the problem went bye bye. I also had issues with UPNP enabled although that was a different kettle of fish and didnt affect all machines with UPNP turned on. Another notable aside with problems on DW Inet was if I installed the Peer to Peer options in Win XP Pro. If any of those apply try removing them and see if it helps, on my systems removing those items seemed to take care of the problems and didnt seem to have any effect on my network at all. -- DirecWay | DW7000 Pro | AMC9 | 83W | 1370MHz | Hor | AMD Athlon XP 2500+ | 1000 RAM | XP Pro/SP2 | LAN: DI604 3 x XP Pro/SP2, 4 x Win 2000 | 1 x xStore DiskZerver | | zudnik Premium join:2005-12-29 Sauquoit, NY
| Funny you should mention tcpv6 i remember that installing when i first set up my network, thought it was just an update. Everything worked fine untill a few weeks ago, i've unistalled it on my primary computer and seems to do the trick, any idea what tcpv6 is used for???? wonder if there were changes at the noc that may have caused this issue?? Thanx for all your help i'll keep you posted!! -- direcway,DW7000pro w/o static,IA8 1330,win-xp home,firefox1.0.7 networked,linksys wireless+wired router,xp-pro client,xp-home client | | wycolo Heaven Starts Here At 9000 Feet. | reply to zudnik The XP IpV6 protocol is included for development and testing purposes, but was not intended for normal use. If you check the properties for your network adapter,if it had downloaded, you will find IpV6 as a listed protocol, and Dw users should uninstall it. The research I have found out is that again this is just a test for Microsoft and Dw is not recognising it yet and it will cause havoc in getting to sign in secure type sites. Microsoft has issued this protocol to automatically download to all XP window operators. I'm not sure if it is also loading to win 2000,98, ect. operators. Dbirdman may have more to add since he is the one that pointed this out to me a couple of weeks ago. -- [Dell-9100 w/Win xp,3G-D&HT CPU.2MG MEM][wired to:linksys-x2,3wired,3wirless][DW7000,98m,2watt.Buis.IA8-1410mz,static][sig-92,Xpl-94][Web-WeatherCam, wycololodge.com] | | zudnik Premium join:2005-12-29 Sauquoit, NY
| Go figure, well at least uninstalling it fixes things, could've been alot worse. glad someone else was having the same problem and pointed this out. i'm sure tech support wouldn't have figured this out to quickly. | reply to zudnik When I had the problem I kinda found out about it by accident, I was reading all the info i could find on the network components on my system trying to figure out what was going on, Microsoft does have some info on it and admits that it has problems on some sites, however they blame the sites saying that the problem is caused by improper implementation of the ipv6 codes. If you are interested in sifting through a lot of info and have a few hours do a search on ipv6 problems. -- DirecWay | DW7000 Pro | AMC9 | 83W | 1370MHz | Hor | AMD Athlon XP 2500+ | 1000 RAM | XP Pro/SP2 | LAN: DI604 3 x XP Pro/SP2, 4 x Win 2000 | 1 x xStore DiskZerver | |
