The XP IpV6 protocol is included for development and testing purposes, but was not intended for normal use. If you check the properties for your network adapter,if it had downloaded, you will find IpV6 as a listed protocol, and Dw users should uninstall it. The research I have found out is that again this is just a test for Microsoft and Dw is not recognising it yet and it will cause havoc in getting to sign in secure type sites. Microsoft has issued this protocol to automatically download to all XP window operators. I'm not sure if it is also loading to win 2000,98, ect. operators. Dbirdman may have more to add since he is the one that pointed this out to me a couple of weeks ago. -- [Dell-9100 w/Win xp,3G-D&HT CPU.2MG MEM][wired to:linksys-x2,3wired,3wirless][DW7000,98m,2watt.Buis.IA8-1410mz,static][sig-92,Xpl-94][Web-WeatherCam, wycololodge.com] | | zudnik Premium join:2005-12-29 Sauquoit, NY
| Go figure, well at least uninstalling it fixes things, could've been alot worse. glad someone else was having the same problem and pointed this out. i'm sure tech support wouldn't have figured this out to quickly. Again, thanx for all the help:) -- direcway,DW7000pro w/o static,IA8 1330,win-xp home,firefox1.0.7 networked, linksys wireless+wired router,xp-pro client,xp-home client | |
