I could get cable TV where I used to live, if I ponied up the couple thousand for them to run the line. Not sure if that included internet.
Reminds me of a T1 quote I got from some CLEC back around 2000-2001. If I recall correctly, it was ~$3000 install and $1200/month for 2 year contract. Ouch!
