Driver for Westell 6100 Verizon DSL?

I just signed up for Verizon DSL and they sent me a Westell 6100 modem. Neither of my CD drives is currently consenting to read discs, so I can't get the driver for the modem off the Verizon disc, hence I can't get the connection up and running. Please tell me I can download the driver file someplace...?

My specs:

Dell Dimension 4100
Windows ME
866mhz Pentium III
20gb hard drive
256mb RAM

Are you planning to connect to the 6100 via its USB port? If not, then you do not need any driver. Ethernet connection is better than USB connection in terms of performance, ease of use, and operational issues. The CD also loads a lot of useless crapware onto your PC.

Unfortunately, I have to use USB right now. I'm looking into ethernet cards, though.

From Westell's support site, USB drivers are available for the B90-610010-06 at:

»westell.com/content/downloads/us···6100.exe

and uninstall utility at:

»westell.com/content/downloads/us···tall.zip

This version of the 6100 is probably not the same as the one you got from Verizon but I imagine the USB drivers should be the same. Anyway, I think these two links should work but use at your own discretion please.

Thank you so much! I finally have a working broadband connection!

You're welcome!

BTW, you should also download the Diagnostic tool at:

»westell.com/content/downloads/diagnostic.exe

and the User Manual at:

for future reference, FYI...
