Re: [DW7000] AMC9 Slow Uploads/Evening Slow Call w/ 2nd level T

Even though the first post on this topic made it sound like it's a known issue and their working on it, I don't believe that DirecWay realizes all the people their affecting. You think they would because they know how many people are on those satellites, but I think they look more at how many people complain enough for it to get to second tier support and 2nd tier to connect their problem with the AMC9 problem. This assumption is based on conversations I've had with DirecWay. The last one being that they're going to send out a technician to resolve my issue.

I'd really like to get a group of users together who are on AMC9 and experiencing the same problems. I think that if we work as a group it might make the priority higher on DirecWay's end. I'll be happy to make the phone calls, but I need people's names and specific issues, any case numbers, stuff like that. I already know of a couple people. If anyone else wants to join our band of brothers please email me.

fsbentley, that's a perfect recap of the symptoms I've seen as well.

I have been experiencing this problem as well, in the course of trying to figure out what the cause is I have done a large amount of force ranging and speed testing in an attempt at getting as much info as possable.
What I have seen has been that the 2/3 rate code gives more consistant upload speeds, mine range from 120-200 except during the evening slowdown. At rate code 4/5 I start out with 200, and after a period of time it drops off to between 20 and 50. This has been very consistant. The one thing I noticed changing from the initial info on the system summary immediately after ranging to 4/5 there would be an inroute group and inrout that changed when the speeds drop off. Whether this is a symtom or not i cant say as I really do not know what the inroute refers to.
Bottom line is that I have had the best results when ranged to use rate code 2/3, it seems that they are doing something on the 4/5 and I dont think they have it working correctly yet.
