supertbone join:2002-04-04 Pleasant Grove, UT	SB5100 Firmware I have read in this forum that the 1.1.1.1-SCM01-NOSH firmware for the SB5100 is no good. Why is this? If so can this firmware be flashed?

That version is generally(but not exclusively) problematic with tiers 4000 and above. The issue is slow download speeds. Not every SB5100 with this version has a problem. It depends on many factors.

Modem firmware can not be acquired by anyone except an ISP. Your ISP is responsible for distributing modem firmware.

Each ISP decides which version to use. They don't always use the same. An ISP may also have a version that is specific to them only.

The newest I have is: SB5100-2.3.4.6-SCM01-NOSH

Different firmware normally does not increase speeds, improve lag, etc. Firmware updates usually address issues that need to be corrected.
