Nice opening post! not...
You know what? All corporations are capable of doing dirty stunts. I love how the public loves to jump in and assume. I guess who ever's mission was accomplished. This is the reaction - of whom ever, that was desired. People believe anything they read. (and this site is the proof of that)
1) Who says maybe Verizon made the story up to get RCN in bad water?
2) Why would RCN waste so much time 'stealing pamphlets' to stop competition? A pamphlet thief? Yea.. taking all the pamphlets is going to stop Verizon FiOS.
How do we suppose RCN is going to stop the television commercials and billboards too? How are they going to stop all the billing inserts? And news paper and radio ads? Is that RCN employee going to jam the radio frequencies? TV frequencies too? Come on'...
3) I don't care HOW slime a company is, I really REALLY doubt RCN would waste time and money plotting the heist of Verizon pamphlets..
Maybe it was in fact a sales man of RCN that did this, but I REALLY REALLY doubt that RCN condoned the actions and if this was a rogue salesman doing it, I really doubt he will have a job any more.
This story, at best, is ridiculous. |

1 edit | reply to AJ023 AJ, Do you always have to poke your slimy head above the parapet every single time RCN's name is mentioned? Did anything or anyone suggest RCN condoned this? RCN employs a number of commission paid door to door salesmen. However, NOTHING in this story actually verifies the man in question WAS an RCN employee. And how can you be sure this wasn't just a VZ cheap publicity stunt?

I'd love to see a story of BHN doing it -- babbling | How's the weather? |

1 edit | reply to grandpinaple grandpinaple: Yeah but the most important part was look who was doing it: RCN! If I had to guess I KNEW IT WOULD BE THEM just like they have shills as well.
This only proves what Ive been saying all along!
RCN is a bad bad bad company that resorts to low life tactics. Verizon also does some bad things, can't leave them out such as charging for Installation on FIOS installed said to be free.
When is there going to be honesty in communications? We all need broadband but noone wants to be honest and play by the rules.
If you don't want to be honest, then I don't need what you are offering! |
