I'll throw in my opinion, even though I sell these... Speeds for me have generally been between 400 and 700, sometimes testing at 200 and 1200. Latency is high, like most wireless, but browsing speed still seems quite good. Another benefit is that Sprint phones can run java midp applications programmed by anyone, which seems superior to the brew java that, for example, Verizon uses. One of my favorite applications is Opera Mini, which works great on my phone. A version customized for Sprint can be downloaded by pointing the phone browser at mini.opera.com/sprint. Another crucial application is google local, at google.com/glm. It functions just like Google Maps, but on a phone screen (satellite view and all). This post was typed on my Samsung 940. |
