I live in Bentonville

Wal-Mart spent approximatley $2 billion creating an underground datacenter immune to earthquakes/fire/flood/tornadoes , and laid approximately 50 miles of fiber connecting offices/warehouses/datacenters .
Yet half the town can't get DSL from SBC . The ones that can get cable are lucky if they can connect for more than 1 hour out of the day because of broken cables/faulty equipment , etc.
I almost wish Wal-Mart decided to be NW Arkansas's ISP . They could wire the entire county with Fiber , and do it well and probably a lot cheaper than SBC or anyone else ever could .

 oh bullshit. That is an exaggeration and you know it. connect for more than 1 hour out of the day....give me a break. if the cable co truely provided that kind of service the city would yank the franchise.
