[Line Problem] Signal lost

Redfire2 join:2006-02-27 Portland, OR	[Line Problem] Signal lost I have earthlink adsl but I'm having one major issue. I connect to the internet and it runs fine for 1 hour to 6 hours of good service. Then the connection is dropped. And the trouble is it wont reconnect for approximetly 1 to 2 days. It usually starts on a Sunday and runs for 1 hour. Modem blinks showing its looking for a signal. Sometimes it might catch it for 1 minute but then it loses it again. I have a splitter with a noise filter but the phone line has 6 wires rather then the 4 wire that is recommended. Linksys modem. Its the modem not the computer. I've tried the connection on multiple computers. Same story
