here we go..... If you feel censorship is so bad here than move to China, Vietnam or Iran and see how well you can bitch about your leaders there. I mean really, you don't know how good you have it here in the US.
I mean I know life is tough here with all of the political freedoms like free speech, freedom of religion and right to posses fire arms. I also know it can be a little troubling not living under a martial military type dictatorship where the government's goons will come make you disappear. I also understand your plight living in a society that practices due process and law and trial by jury to ensure you get a fair chance for justice. I mean I really feel bad for the fact that you don't have to undergo compulsory service in the military and it's a volunteer force and that you can protest anywhere you want even in front of the Nation's Capitol without being run over by Army tanks.
America does suck...low taxes, low unemployment, capitalist society where I can read the Bible, Koran or Penthouse without being persecuted by religious police. Another thing that gets me going is this whole I can elect my officials by going to the polls and voting is awful too, I mean why can't my leaders be picked for me where I have no say in how the government is run at all?

I mean really, you don't know how good you have it here in the US. It never fails. Whenever someone posts anything that dissents/questions authority/points out issues or problems they have with the way things are happening in the USA.... someone always has to reply with the low-brow response of "If you don't like it, you should move to Cuba/China/North Korea/Iran/Iraq/Zimbabwe/any other random country/blah blah blah.
I'm sure glad we have people here in the USA who still question what the Government (and others!) are up to! That's a requirement of a free country if you ask me. -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!) |

quote: Kinda like what the Bush admin is doing
outta the blue for no real reason with no real support of his argument as a patriot freedom fighter, risking his life questioning the government.
That was blatant mindless Bush bashing plain and simple. The reply to it was simply a stupid reaction to the stupid statement.
I don't embrace or defend the people with stupid arguments who happen to have wound up on my side of the issue; I don't know why you guys do. -- Asking those who disagree with you to find support of your arguments is like asking an assailant if you can borrow his gun. |
