Re: [OT] SCSI Driver

Just an FYI, I usually check this site for old drivers.

www.driversguide.com

login: drivers
pass: all

I have used this site many times to find drivers for everything under the sun. If someone handed you a Vodoo 3 card, would you know where to find a driver for it? LOL, google doesn't always have all the answers (though it has most!)

Hope this helps someone sometime down the road.

ALL:

I think I finally found the driver!

:):):):):)

It is now going on with the Windows 2000 Advanced Server install.

Now, just have to redo it, as I still have Windows 98 on the 1st SCSI Drive....

EDIT: Looks like things might not be as good as I first though...may be a bad CPU!
So, back to the trouble shooting.......

Everyone,

I'm in the process of setting up a new server in my house. Its a Compaq Prosignia 740 Server. This server has a dual 550 mhz PIII processor, with 1GB of Ram.

The problem I'm having is that when I go to install Windows 2000 Adv Server, I get so far, and the machine shuts down and then powers itself back on.

I'm thinking that its the SCSI Driver, but I'm not sure. Here is what Windows 98 SE (yeah...installed that to get some info from Belarc) says the SCSI driver is

Symbios Logic 875XS|D, 2280x PCI SCSI Adapter; 53C875, 53876 Device

I did post over in the Hardware help forum, but figured I would ask here as well.

Thanks in advance!
